Dear Parents and Guardians,

What a way to start Term Three! Our first week back was full of energy, reunions, new faces, a bit of settling in, and plenty of learning already underway. Thank you, as always, for the role you play at home in preparing your children for each new term. It truly shows.

We also want to say a special thank you to the parents who came through and supported us with the various projects around school this week. Your time, resources, and willingness to pitch in do not go unnoticed. Palm School runs on partnership, and you continue to prove that every single term.

Here's how the week unfolded across our sections:

🍼 Nursery Section

The week opened with orientation and a warm welcome back for our littlest learners, many of whom walked in like they'd never left, a good sign! Tuesday was spent easing back into our school routines and revisiting holiday packages together as a class. By Wednesday, the children were correcting their work and enjoying a lovely storytelling session with their teachers, and the week wrapped up on Friday with our much loved General Morning Circle, full of songs, chatter, and smiles all round.

📘 PALM Junior Academy (PJA)

Our PJA learners spent Monday exploring the new block and getting hands on with how to use the facility. There was a real buzz of curiosity as they found their way around. Tuesday brought holiday package presentations and corrections, with learners proudly sharing what they'd worked on over the break. From Wednesday through Friday, the section was fully focused on Beginning of Term (BOT) assessments, and we were impressed by the seriousness and effort our learners brought to each paper. The week closed with a lively General Assembly, bringing the whole PJA community together.

👋 Introducing Our New Teachers

We're delighted to welcome four new members to the Palm School teaching family this term:

Mr. Ajonga Moses, joining us as Deputy Head Teacher, and teaching P.4 and P.5.

Ms. Katushabe Immaculate, Class Teacher for P.2.

Ms. Aribariho Angel, Class Teacher for our Middle Class.

Okana Ouma Andrew, class teacher P.5 teaching Social Studies (SST) and Religious Education (RE) in the Upper Primary section.

Please join us in giving them a warm Palm School welcome. We're confident they'll bring wonderful energy, dedication, and fresh ideas to our learners this term.

🌿 Weekly Theme:

God Our Father Has Plans for His People

📖 Memory Verse

"For I know the plans I have for you," declares the LORD. Jeremiah 29:11

This theme reminded our learners and staff alike that we are held by a Father who knows exactly where He's leading us, a comforting thought as we step into a brand new term.

💛 Thank You

Here's to a term filled with growth, discovery, and joy. Thank you for walking this journey with us, we couldn't do it without you.

With love,

Palm School Administration
