📢 Welcome to Term Two! Weekly Recap Newsletter (June 2nd – 6th, 2025)

Dear Parents and Guardians,

Welcome back to Term Two! 🎉Thank you for trusting us once again with your precious learners. It’s always an honour to journey alongside you as we nurture, guide, and grow together.

This past week has been full of excitement as we eased into the new term, caught up with familiar faces, and welcomed new learners into the Palm family. Here’s a look at what our different classes were up to:

🍼 Nursery Section Highlights

👶🏽 Baby Class – We started the term by revisiting letter sounds from the SATPIN set. Learners practiced through songs, movement, and matching games to boost recognition.📌 Try this: Ask your child, “Can you find something in the house that starts with ‘s’?”

👁️‍🗨️ Middle Class – This week’s theme was Body Senses. Learners explored the five senses through fun activities like blindfolded smell tests and texture hunts.

📌 Ask: “What did you feel with your hands today?” or “What sound did you hear at school?”

🔠 Top Class – Our learners kicked off Term Two with their Beginning of Term (BOT) exams. We’re proud of their focus and effort as they settled back into academic routines.📌 Encourage them to rest well, and celebrate the small wins this week!

📘 Lower Primary Section Highlights

📝 PALM Junior Academy (PJA) – Like Top Class, PJA learners completed their BOT assessments this week. We’re proud of how they approached the new term with confidence and readiness.📌 Be sure to review any notes sent home and continue encouraging positive study habits!

🌿 Weekly Theme: God Our Father Well Knows What is Best for Us.

This theme set a beautiful tone for the term, reminding us all—learners and teachers alike—to trust God’s plan and stay rooted in faith and kindness.

📌 Try this conversation starter: “What do you think it means that God knows what’s best for us?”

☕ Upcoming:

Father’s Day Celebrations – June 20th!Dads, mark your calendars! 📅You are warmly invited to join us for a special Father’s Day Tea at school on Friday, 20th June 2025. We’ll be celebrating the wonderful role fathers play in our learners’ lives, and we’d love to see you there.
